I have started a study in Proverbs 31 on the Proverbs 31 Woman. I’m reading from the Tree of Life Version of the Bible and it titles this section The Woman of Valor. I’m referring to her as The Fearless Woman.

Today, I am focusing on Proverbs 31:10-12 TLV:

10 An accomplished woman who can find?
Her value is far beyond rubies.
11 Her husband’s heart trusts in her,
and he lacks nothing valuable.
12 She brings him good and not harm
all the days of her life.

Here we go with verse 10:

This fearless woman is skilled, talented and successful and she is appreciated, loved, respected, and cherished. She is priceless!

We all have different skills and talents and our definitions of success are different and I know we aren’t perfect but shouldn’t we, with God’s help, walk in this direction to use what He has given us and to learn and become the women He created us to be in this life and in the life to come? And maybe, the more we walk in this direction, others will see our worth. Let’s remember, our worth comes from God not people!!!

Now my daughter, do not be afraid! Everything you propose, I will do for you, for everyone in town knows that you are a woman of valor. – Ruth 3:11 TLV

verse 11:

The core of her husband’s being firmly believes in her, and he wants for nothing more precious. She is a priceless treasure given to him by God.

It’s amazing to feel treasured by my husband. He will go out of his way to do sweet things for me and show me that he loves me. Of course, not every moment is perfect. We all struggle with how we treat one another. As women, we don’t always feel treasured by our husbands but there is One that treasures us more than anyone else could in this world.

“See how glorious a love the Father has given us, that we should be called God’s children—and so we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him.” – 1 John 3:1
“A virtuous wife is her husband’s crown, but a dishonoring one is like rottenness in his bones.” – Proverbs 12:4 TLV
“The man who finds a wife finds a treasure, and he receives favor from the Lord.” – Proverbs 18:22 NLT

verse 12:

For the rest of her life, she will bring him, her husband, honor and be virtuous with high moral standards and not cause him sorrow and not make him miserable.

We need to honor our husbands. I see so many women who make their husband’s life so miserable. Sometimes, we don’t even realize how we are treating our husbands. Honestly, it may not even be something we say directly to them but we complain to our family and friends about them. We should build our husbands up and not tear them down. We need to comfort and encourage our husbands.

“Likewise, wives, be submitted to your own husbands so that—even if some do not obey the message—by the wives’ conduct, without a word they may be won over as they observe your pure, reverent conduct.” – 1 Peter 3:1-2 TLV

As Christian women and believers in Yeshua (Jesus Christ) the Messiah, we are not perfect but we should want to be this woman and seek God’s guidance, instructions and wisdom on walking in this direction – trusting God and depending on His love, strength and support to lead us to be the women He created us to be in this life.
